Hi! We’re twin brothers Carson and Spencer Kent, and we’re so glad you’re here. Kozu is our project to help an already-wonderful community bring its message and innovation to the masses. The thesis is simple: Direct Primary Care is the solution. But the road to true change of the US healthcare system runs through employers, and employers have complex needs. Kozu exists to help you—whether you are a DPC or a benefits broker designing a plan that includes DPC—reach employers better.

So who are we? The cliff-notes: Carson is trained as an applied mathematician and finished his PhD at Stanford in 2021. He’s worked on everything from cybersecurity to state-of-the-art machine learning methods. Spencer is trained as an electrical engineer and finished his PhD at Berkeley in 2020. He’s worked on AI for over a decade. We’ve been thinking about DPC since 2019, when we actually visited a few of the clinics brave enough to operate in California’s Bay Area. It took nearly 6 years and some stars to align, but we were finally able to start working on the Kozu DPC Platform in January, 2025. What you see here is just the beginning. Let’s get to work.
